Hey everyone! Could you give me some advice on whether I should go for this or not? I recently got the Audient ID14 MKII, the Shure SM7B, and Logic Pro. While Logic Pro is pretty complex, I get that it's a learning process and I'm ready to invest the time. Here's the deal: I’m into acting, live broadcasting, singing, and working from home on voice acting for books, cartoons, audiobooks, and the like. But for going online with UA-cam or Instagram, is this new device a better choice for me than sticking with the Audient ID sound card? How do I figure out if and when I need this over the Audient combined with Logic Pro? Or can they do the exact same things, just that Logic can handle more other stuff? I'm new to recording but not to acting and singing. I've never had a UA-cam channel or done live social media stuff before. This little device looks and sounds so cool! Please help me understand how it could be useful for me. Thanks!

Is it possible to automate patch changes with this? I'd like to automate the changes with our midi tracks when we perform. Im able to send patch changes to my guitar pedal this way via usb c.

If I use the PaintAudio Midi Captain, and midi that out to the GT-1000 midi in, then Gt midi out to VE-500, and set to 'thru' and whatever settings are needed... I could essentially use 4 of the switches to control VE-500 stuff, and the other 4 to control GT-1000 stuff right?

Hi, Jared. Thank you for your videos! I would like to ask you something. Between ve 500 and ve 22, who has a more natural sounding pitch correction? I'm choosing between the two specifically because of the harmonies and pitch correction. the ve 500 has a more detailed setup and seems more functional, but I don't know in terms of effects quality which is better.

Great job! I have a set of these and using a tc helicon play acoustic I notice some unwanted freq and when I play a g or em chord striking the low E sounds like the sound modulates up. I realize you’re using a boss and playing an electric and I run my electric through an old eleven rack and don’t notice the freq & extra sound when not playing notice a lite pop sound occurring with the tc helicon play acoustic, was checking out the boss v-8 and after seeing your video on the boss ve-500 would like to add that to my live gigs for my electric and the boss ve-8 for my acoustic Taylor 814ce. Running 2 thump 215xt with the mackie mixer profx16. Wish I could find a unit that supports the acoustic & electric,, I know asking too much. So with tchelicon play acoustic seems like the sound modulates and I like how you set the gate so the mic is not picking up sound until you sing. I maybe able to set the tchelicon to do the same have to mess around with it some more before next gig Sunday. Like your reviews mate! Cheers

For anyone struggling to connect this to a MacBook Air or Pro, as I just did: use the TRS-TRRS adapter ("Connect Phone") and plug the TRRS-side direct into your *headphone jack*. Mac will recocgnise it as headset-mic, and you're good to go. No need for USB-C adaptors! On another note, having now tested it a lot, I can say this: it's fun & cheap & practical live gear, as described by Jared here. But it's not suitable for high-quality recording. You will get a certain level of built-in background buzz on all recordings, no matter what.

Hello Jared! I connected the ve-22 to the PC after downloading the drivers and installing them, the word updater appeared on the screen and the harmony button flashes blue, is this correct? If I try to start the application on the PC it tells me it can't find the device, can you help me?

There are many reasons the Shure SM58 has been the industry standard live vocal mic for decades. And to my ears with 44 years of live performance experience, it is the mic among all other road tested dynamic mics that gives the clearest reproduction of the human voice, imparting the fewest artifacts or unnatural sounding response curves. Little equalization is required to seat it in the live mix. Sometimes a high pass filter is all that is required. The studio is a whole other world. I prefer the Audio Technica AT4033 large diaphragm for vocals in that realm. But on the road with a band, the SM58 is the tool for the job.
